Lineage: Carlson Gracie Sr- Rodrigo Medeiros- John Sanders

Started training in 2008 to supplement my Karate. However, I lost interest in Karate and transitioned to fully Bjj by Blue Belt. I got my Blue Belt from Matt Gomez who was part of the Bjj Revolution Team under Julio Foca Fernandez. I put in a lot of work and effort into getting my purple belt. I was often doing 5-6 training sessions a week and spent a lot of time working on a guard game because I had been primarily a top player. At Brown Belt, I started to compete regularly in local tournaments to sharpen skills, but I also wanted to better understand competition so that I could help others with the experience. I got my Black belt from John Sanders, a Rodrigo Medeiros Black Belt under the Carlson Gracie Sr lineage, in March 2021. At that point, I had been training with him for 9 years. He had also previously awarded me my Purple and Brown Belt.
